Approach

My role was to work closely with the Auckland Council in-house design team to art direct and design their new website. Initial discovery was done by the Auckland Council team but was shared with us via several workshops. We then came up with some user journeys identifying and addressing user pain points and streamlining user interaction in order to give users a better experience. I created wireframes and prototypes for Auckland Council to test with users early. Once the client was happy with this, I created two design concepts which were again tested. When the final design concept was selected, I created the designs for the whole portal. Continuous improvements have been made post launch, for example, making the website better in terms of accessibility.
